The Red Howler Monkey
The Red Howler Monkey lives in troupes high in the forest canopy. Each day the troupe slowly threads it's way through the branches of the trees, feeding almost continuously and occasionally uttering a stream of raucous howls.
Howler monkeys are one of the most widely distributed American Primates. Their roars can be heard from over 3 km away in a forest and 5 km in the open.
Two other types of Howler Monkeys are the Black howler and the Mantled howler.
Portuguese Man of War
The Portuguese Man of War is more complex than appearances suggest. It actually comprises an entire animal colony, composed of several types of polyp. Each has special function and all work together to swim, feed and reproduce. It's tentacles are armed with a great number of tiny stinging cells called nematocysts. Their tentacles can grow up to 50 m long. The man of war is related to corals and sea fans.
